Kanji Requests

Thu Jan 8, 2009, 10:32 AM
  • Mood: Regretful
PLEASE READ!
(If you're one of the kanji requesters, that is)

So, the lazarus of request threads, the fourth round of kanji requests, has finally been locked by an admin to stop people necro-posting it, which is a relief. While it's flattering that my work is in such demand, the fact that people would post their requests without noticing that the thread had been dead for over a year suggested that they weren't paying the greatest attention to what I'd written.

Now, I do try my best to write as many people's requests as I can - over 200 so far - but I am quite busy at the moment, so I'm afraid that it is unlikely that I will be able to fulfil requests, even the ones offering money, for now. If I am able to take requests, I will change the status in my journal accordingly, but please do check the status before requesting to avoid disappointment!

Oh, and sorry to all the people who have posted requests, sent notes and so on, to whom I have completely failed to reply!

Current Kanji request status: 204 of 204
Current Request status: sadly CLOSED

I dunno how often you check your page, but I just wanted to say hi and ask how things are. Hope you're well!
:iconochiru:
Oh hey Kashikoi - long time no see. I haven't been around here for ages, I admit. I'm currently finishing my second degree, and should hopefully be starting my doctorate in the Autumn. What are you up to these days?
:iconkashikoi:
Nothing much, first year of college is done, and sadly I don't have a lot to do this summer so I've mostly been drawing and hanging out with friends. Can't wait to go back in September though, I think my classes should be pretty interesting.

It seems like you're doing pretty nicely! I hope everything goes well for you.
:iconochiru:
So what are you studying at university? (I know Americans don't really specialise, but what's your focus?)

Oh, and incidentally, I've had this photo lying around for two years that I thought you might find amusing: [link]
Seems the Japanese named an island after you.
:iconkashikoi:
I'm currently undecided, but I'm almost certainly going to major in math or some particular science (I've been finding biology interesting, I'll see how my class in it this coming semester goes).

If I ever need to flee the US, I will be sure to find this island and proclaim myself some kind of God-King. It can only end very well, right?

*slips note under door*

You are loved.
:iconochiru:
um... that's nice?

Hello, I don't know if you can help me, but I noticed your beautiful kanji symbols are similar style to that on this flag I have [link] . I'm trying to learn what they mean so that I can understand it's meaning better. I don't know much Japanese though... Can you help, please?
